This used to be great, but the last time I ordered it, it wasn't the same. Looking at the can, the VOC percentage was lower, which probably means it's better for the environment. Unfortunately, it's worse for painting car parts. The texture is much rougher and it spits out of the can leaving an uneven finish with blotchy color. Wet sanding only highlighted the unevenness of the finish. Even worse, it did not last even under a 2k clear coat. After about a year, the blue was fading. I had used this paint several years before with awesome results and those parts look much better than the more recently painted stuff.

Great product, goes on nicely, good finish, particularly for a rattle can. I’m impressed at the finish once dried and looks great under a few coats of clear. I’m gonna do my side skirts with the same color, it’s good enough for large panels.

I ordered this to paint the hood scoop on my 06 wrx. The color is perfect but, the sprayer on the can is absolutely junk! I was able to lay down two coats of paint. Then when I went to apply the third coat the spay nozzle got stuck open and ALL THE PAINT WAS WAISTED! Not what you want to happen with a $32 dollar can of paint.

I used on my 2010 wrx painted my side skirts from black to blue , make sure to use a light primer base I used a very light grey by dupli color , the results are pretty impressive for a more official look you can top by light sanding and clear coating

I've yet to use this stuff for a car, and have since sold my blue Subaru. I've painted a helmet, and bicycle parts with it. I LOVE the WR Blue color.You can even lay this down somewhat sloppy, wait a day, 3-5coats of clearcoat, wet sand, polish, and it will look exactly like the color on your car.I've even painted stuff and it looks good all on its own with no clearcoat covering. It has a small amount of its own shine. But if you want it to match, do a handful of clear coats. that 2K 2part rattlecan stuff is awesome for clear coating, and hardens up rock solid, more durable than rustoleum.

Did not match my 2012 WRX however it is close enough if you are just doing some parts that don't have direct contact to factory 02C paint it is a really close color. If you just want to do up some interior or engine bay stuff it will be great. I had a run in with the ground going off road on a cold morning that cracked my lower font bumper and popped the side vent out of the bumper cover and my rear wheel ran over the vent. Simple enough to order a new one, but this paint was just too bright. I ended up going with automotivetouchup.com 02C color match aerosol for $20 and it was a perfect match. I will be getting more of their ready to spray to break out my gun and respirator to do the bumper myself (got quotes for $500 to $800 to spray a brand new bumper from local shops)I knew this wasn't 02C when I bought it and just thought I would give it a shot since most of the forums all said it was a good match. Didn't hurt to try because I do genuinely like GrimmSpeed products like their EBCS and snazzy AOS. I am sure it matches the GrimmSpeed rally blue products but I dont have any to compare.It was a quality rattle can product though. No issues with the actual mechanics of spraying paint. Nice even and steady flow. Predictable, which is ideal in any spray.
