The BLACK SUCOSO socket that I received had some poor workmanship with a rough finish in one area inside of the splines. I believe this roughness could gouge the lug nuts/bolts on the car, so I filed it down to debur the rough edges. The black paint rubbed off with almost no effort. It is cheap quality paint finish and I’m not thrilled about that. I think it would be better if they did not put a cheap coat of paint on it. I see some other spots where the paint already had scratches when I pulled it out of the packaging.I will make a comparison against the original Bimecc branded socket that I received with my 10-spline Bimecc lug bolt set…This black SUCOSO socket shares the same inner spline and outer diameter as the original Bimecc branded socket. I was actually hoping that the SUCOSO socket would have a larger outer diameter with thicker (stronger) walls. The walls on the original Bimecc seem thin and prone to breaking, and the SUCOSO is not any better. They are both magnetic so they both appear to be made from steel alloys. I cannot say if they are the same grade, but they are definitely not aluminum. They have differences in the lengths and sizes of the hex head adapters. Some hex head sizes have more material to grab onto, but I think all the hex designs are sufficient. Bimecc has 17 & 19mm hex heads, while SUCOSO has 19 & 21mm.The SUCOSO is slightly longer (1.4mm), but there is less material in the base because it is deeper on the spline side. This makes it about 9 grams lighter than Bimecc. The price should be factored in to determine how good of value this product is. Prices can fluctuate over time, but at the time of this review, it costs about the same price as the original Bimecc branded socket (less than $1 difference). In conclusion, I would only buy this SUCOSO socket if there was a decent amount of savings in the price compared to the original Bimecc branded socket. I can’t say for sure if it is more durable or less durable than the Bimecc, but given the poor workmanship and poor quality paint coating that scrapes off easily, I believe that Bimecc is a better option.

Worked as it should. Bought my truck with aftermarket wheels and no key. Took a gamble and ordered this one and it worked great!I almost replaced all of my lug nuts since I had no key. So glad I found this.

A "spline lug nut" is a type of lug nut that features a unique design with multiple splines (ridges) running along its surface, requiring a special socket with matching splines to tighten and loosen it; this design is often used on aftermarket wheels with deep-set lug holes, allowing for a more secure fit and better contact with the wheel surface compared to standard lug nuts. Now that you understand what a Spline Lug Nut Key is you'll know if you need it. You will use it not with a machine though, you'll be hand cranking this one as it has no hole for pneumatic or for classic rachet.
