If you know someone who can drown a fish . . . . BUY IT!!! It's intended use exceeded my expectations. The wait and price point I don't even care about due to its efficiency in protecting expensive mattre.....materials lol

I’ve been using another brand that is more like a quilt and it just didn’t protect well unless you immediately caught the mess. I have cats and one occasionally will release a hairball on my bed. Sometimes I’m a bit late to notice and you can understand the horror finding the mess soaked through your protection.I saw good reviews on this blanket and decided to try it out. So far so good. It absolutely holds liquid. There is zero soaking thru! It’s also much bigger than most. (I have a king bed) it’s plush and comfy and doesn’t make any sort of noise like some waterproof fabrics do.It’s easy to wash as well. I would suggest if your washer has the setting to use the “waterproof” one.And of course dry it on cool.5 stars this is an absolute must if you have pets that create lovely accidents on any type of furniture.

Our bedspread was getting tatty and we wanted something to protect from animals on the bed. This fits nicely over our queen mattress and looks great. I didn't expect it to actually look like a bedspread, but it does, and it's soft, and lightweight enough that we can leave it on the bed at night. So we have total hairball protection and great looks and functionality. I haven't washed it yet so I can't comment on that, but I expect this to last and to do a great job. We also bought a pretty grey plaid waterproof throw to lay across this bedspread, and our bed is both well protected and looks amazing - no one would suspect this was all to hairball-proof our bed - it looks like a million bucks!

I've been meaning to write a review for this because I know the way I've used it is NOT the traditional way most customers will use it and it has still been a five star success. BTW, I have never written a review before in my life. For real. Not usually interested, don't have the time, etc. But I have now bought at least three of these waterproof blankets to.... use outside on our rabbit hutch. And feel compelled to speak to its quality. I looked high and low to find something this good and hit the jackpot. Our bunnies stay outside year round and this both warm (enough) AND waterproof blanket has spared us a great deal of labor on changing back and forth between (A) waterproof tarps to keep the rain/snow out of their all-weather cage and (B) blankets to keep them warm. It's been AWESOME!! We've left the blankets out ALL winter long on the ceiling/sides outside of the hutch and runner (not inside, mind you). This is through two Idaho winters in a row... bringing blankets in to store in off-season, and our blankets still look like new. Impeccably made, strong stitching and fabric. We've machine washed the blankets numerous times; they hold up amazingly. These really are an all-star product I'd recommend to anyone for our mentioned purposes or otherwise (we've also used them when we bring the bunnies inside to hang out and throw the waterproof blanket on the bed if they have an accident; same success ratings). And we're extra happy to support a family-built business created domestically. I stand behind this product one million percent and recommend it to other pet lovers for both indoor and outdoor purposes (within reason).

We have cats, and they like to get up on our beds. To prevent their fur from sticking to our comforters, we had the beds covered with regular flat bedsheets. If you have cats, you know sooner or later and OFTEN they are going to barf hair balls. The sheets obviously couldn't keep the barf from seeping through to the comforters, and we didn't relish the idea of washing an expensive King-sized comforter, multiple times, even in our large front loading machine. We searched and read hundreds of reviews, and we found these blankets, and were hopeful they would do the job. They do, and would be a 100 percent hit, with some tweaks.Waterproof? ABSOLUTELY! We went away for over a week, and told the cat sitter just leave the blankets and barf on the bed and we would wash when we returned. There were many large barf spots on the blankets, and none of them seeped through, not even a little.Right size? This is one of the tweaks we would like to see. The available sizes (we bought one Queen and one King) cover just the top of the bed, they don't drape down the sides much. If you have animals, you know it's going to happen that they will barf over the edges of the bed, never just in the center. We like our pillows at the head of the bed covered as well, but you'll sacrifice covering the foot of your bed in order to fully cover your pillows.Ease in washing? This is the other tweak. Yes, this is a fuzzy blanket. It is going to hold the fur, and it does it ever! We don't know what kind of fiber it would take to make the blanket release the fur during washing, but we wish this had it. Once washed, the fur will ball up and stick in many places on the blanket. You can pull the balls off, but we don't WANT to, we want it done in the wash. Once washed, it does take ages (at least an hour or more) to dry since it must be dried on low. No bleach, no fabric softener, no washing products other than laundry soap can be used, otherwise the waterproof-ness cannot be maintained. We recommend buying 2 of the size you need so you have one on the bed and one in the wash. This is a good-looking blanket. It looks good on the beds. It is very well made, not a cheap-looking thing on it. One side is light, one side is dark - we bought the gray ones. In spite of the needed tweaks, we are so happy to have these, as they've kept the fur and the barf off of the comforters. We do recommend these blankets.
