We had a recurring issue with water getting into our gas fuel tank. We fixed the issue (put an antisiphon loop in the fuel tank vent) and needed to polish the fuel to take out all of the water. Everyone had an expensive solution for us including removing $500 worth of gasoline and then paying someone to clean the tank out even though there is no easy access for doing so, etc. We bought this and connected it inline with our normal spin on filter and took about 2 quarts of water out of the tank simply by driving around in the waves. The red floating ring made it easy to see when the unit was getting full of water and then we just stopped the boat, drained the water out and then continued. Now all of the water is gone and if it ever returns I have an easy way to remove it.

They do work and they do their job but I was under the impression that they were modeled after the racor brand. They do not have the turbine spin inside of them but they do, do their job as water fuel separator so for this I will give them three stars. They do use the same filters as the Racor
