While I can't guarantee these will hold up in an earthquake, since moving to CA, I care more than ever about making sure even low furniture is secured in case of shaking. These are really easy to use, and provide me peace of mind. You can anchor them or use wall studs (I choose studs whenever I can), and the metal cord gives you a bit of room to maneuver, while making sure furniture wouldn't tip more than a couple of inches if something happened. Of course, this also protects from mis-weighted dressers or shelves tipping, or a child accidentally climbing on or bumping something so it would fall. These are easy to install and nice and secure, with multiple screw points on both sides. If you are like me, you can even add a second cord or a zip tie in the same anchors, just for extra safety.

These are small but feel really strong and durable. Great for keeping kids safe from large dressers or bookcases. They're easy to install and set up.
