While it seems sturdy and heavy would not recommend. Installed and basement flooded as pump doesn’t turn on. Outlet is 20 amp dedicated circuit drawing 120v. Slam unit up and down and it will cycle once. Yes. Back flow installed. One cycle and then a humming stuck motor.Maybe it’s just a bad unit and they’ll send me a new one. Here’s hoping.

This sump pump works perfectly. It is literally maintenance and hands free. Plug it up and let it do the work. Couldn't have made a better choice.

So far so good. The volume of water removed in seconds is super.Have not put it through any extreme test just filled sump well to make sure it was functioning and emptied sump well immediately.

We had been looking for a sump pump to use outside in a small space that came on automatically. We could not use a regular bobbin float as it kept getting stuck on the pump. This vertical pump worked perfectly. It pumped out the water very fast with no obstructions. The float is in a great spot and works with ease. Solid construction and easy to hook up. Great value for the money.

I vividly recall the time when a severe storm struck, and my sump pump stopped working at 3 AM, resulting in my basement flooding. That incident prompted me to invest in a backup pump, and I am grateful that I did. This pump boasts an impressive capacity of moving 5500 gallons per hour (GPH) even when pumping water at a maximum lift of 32 feet. It's essential to note that this pump is specifically designed for sump pump applications and should not be utilized as a waterfall or pool pump. Additionally, it features a corrosion-free stainless steel motor case housing, fasteners, and a cast iron shell, ensuring durability as a sturdy sump pump.I particularly appreciate the vertical float switch, which functions effectively in my basement. As the water level rises, the pump automatically activates and removes water until the float settles, allowing for unmonitored use. It is programmed to turn on at 10.3" and off at 4.5". To prevent clogging with silt or debris, I make sure to clean the pump every few months. I have observed that the suction area at the bottom of the pump has a larger grate than others, which facilitates the passage of more water and tiny debris.Having this backup pump is akin to having a reliable friend in times of need. It provides me with a great sense of security, knowing I have a backup in case the primary pump fails. This peace of mind is invaluable, and I can vouch for the reliability of this 3/4 HP Submersible Sump Pump. I highly recommend it for use as a backup if you already have a sump pump, or even as a primary pump if needed. You won't regret making this investment when the time comes.

I have three sump pumps in my backyard. They are all the type with the floater head attached to the unit by a small tube. The issue is they are in a 13" sunken, cemented basket and they have a tendency to get stuck against the sides and when it does, it either does not drain or more importantly, does not turn off. This has it's floated on a vertical pole, so it slides up and down easily, without obstruction. This vertical mount allows it to turn on and off with no additional space needed to allow it to float or sink. It is stationary only moving up and down. Great design.I will probably get two more to replace the other sump pumps shortly. It is also very powerful, removing the contents of the catch basin in seconds, turning off, then wait to get tripped again to empty.VERY forgiving in limited space. The price is also very fair, similar to the others I have bought, but seems more functional design. The reason I gave it 4, not 5 stars, is because the cable, at 10', leaves me needing another extension to get it to the power supply. Give me a 20' cord and this is definitely a 5 star pump.
