Extremely flimsy lid and lid hinge. Lid will not snap closed on the hinge side so it leaks. Such a great concept but very poorly executed.

Works well but expensive for being a cheap plastic top. Side clip is not useful to me.

They are cheaply made for the price. They'll do the job but can't imagine how long they will last being plastic. $2.99 would be a more accurate price.

I was looking for the metal, "Egg Lug" of my childhood, to help my kids speed up their bait time (river fishing). This product looks like it is engineered for routine replacement. The plastic is pretty cheap, and one of the two that I ordered, broke in one day. I won't buy another, and wouldn't recommend this to a friend, but it's still better than continually removing the bottle and lid from a pocket.

compare the the orginal jar holder I use to have., I was very disappointed. Probably not made by the same manufacturer but, compare to what I use to have, i had a spring loaded lid that closed very quickly when done retrieving a couple of eggs. Made with light aluminun metal screw on jar. slide over your belt and never worry about losing the jar hold. This one is plastic and have to loop it into the belt and to take it off, you have to unbuckle the belt and slide it off. The lid is NOT spring loaded and it just close as you go and the plastic hing will eventually bring over time. I wish they wold make the old style again. I would not buy this jar holder again. Not worth sending back. If I find the old sytle, I wowuld buy a truck load because it was the best made jar holder ever. other thna that, it will work.
