After these get used a few times they become very loose. One of them was used three times and just would not stay on the same exact bit it was used on the past three times. Would not recommend

It makes a huge difference in terms of balance of the stopper on the drill bit when it is mounted symmetrically (via two screws from each side) vs assymetrically (typical other ones I've bought before that has only one screw on one side), especially you will notice a wobble if it is not able to be installed properly. This is why I think this product is well thought and better than others, I throw away my other ones.

I was building a cabinet project and needed a depth collar for the shelves. I ended up borrowing a neighbor's for part of it and figured I should buy a set of my own. I was surprised to find this package. For the amount of collars included and the fact they are stainless, it's a great deal.The difference between the one I borrowed and this set was mainly that these include 2 set screws on each collar. I thought that would be more helpful but it turns out that it's more of a pain than anything else. One set screw would have been perfectly fine. Using them is simple and they stayed in place for the whole project. I kept checking the set screws but they stayed nice and snug.The case these came in is total junk. It arrived cracked and the hinges are super cheap. It wasn't a big deal though and I just put them in another little container to keep them together. It's nice that they include so many sizes and they even include 2 tiny Allen keys to tighten the set screws.Overall, this is a great set and a bargain for the amount of collars you get. As soon as I opened the package, the high quality of these were obvious. They fit snug without binding and hold fast when tightened in place. Just what I needed to finish a project.

Dual set screws decrease the likelihood of them slipping. They are easy to use. I'm completely happy with the purchase.
