This is my second set of EPChunMi LS head studs and they are working great so far. Low boost so far, no signs of lifting. I think a lot of failures you'll hear about on these chinese head studs are from people who were both cheap AND not following the right installation procedures (a common correlation). Use the ARP head stud procedures, follow them to the letter and lubricate the correct portions only. In general, another trick you can do is put a 1/4" steel ball bearing down any dry holes (i.e. ones not touching any coolant passages) so that the stud bottoming out is sudden and instant. Without that you risk running into incomplete cut threads that are at the bottom of the hole, which will make the stud want to twist from bottom to top.

This is a great looking headstand set! It’s all really well packaged and the hardware is all very well finished and oiled. The threads are clean and the kit is complete. Great kit for the price if you’re building a relatively mild LS.

Nice bolts. The only problem I had was 3 of the 10 smaller M8 studs had tight fine threads. The nuts couldn't be threaded all the way down by hand which indicates a problem. A quick cleanup with a thread chaser resolved the problem.Other than that one problem it is a good set of studs. This kit is only for 2004 to 2019 engines, you will need a different kit for 1997 to 2003, and beware that 2003/2004 engines could be either because there were carryover engines in 2004.I Hope My Pictures And Review Were Helpful To You !!

Great quality hardware replacement for your LS. They threaded in nice and tight, torqued down to OEM spec without breaking, have a nice finish to them, and gave peace of mind knowing that the OEM bolts were not the best and came loose on their own at some point in the engines life of 80,000 miles. After a few weeks of use and heating and cooling cycles, these have not come loose and retain the applied torque specs used at install.
