Not as good as a traditional tomahawk but still works

The axe can fall out of the cover with a little wiggling.

The hatchet came in and the first thing I noticed was that the handle was round. It didn't fit the shape of the hand well for splitting wood. The next thing I noticed was that the "sheath" it came with allows the hatchet to slip out very easily. If I had it on my belt, it would have slipped out within seconds of walking.I looked past these things believing I could still make it work by catching the handle down, or adding a piece of leather to hold the hatchet in better. Unfortunately, I then took it on my first camping trip. After taking it to my first piece of wood, after the first swing, the head started rattling on the handle. It became loose instantly. I hoped for a 3 star product for the price but got less. The metal blade was even a little rusty upon delivery. About the only positive was that the blade was sharp and split well in the one strike I used it. I may attempt to "doctor it up" still, but it will definitely take more than I anticipated originally.

This was incredible. It’s beautifully crafted but well put together enough to sink in to a tree. Or the skull of your enemy. It’s just heavy enough to be functional and useful. It has kept its edge but my friend is looking for a kit to care for it just to be safe.It was a great present, he really flipped out when he got it.

I ordered this to use for Axe throwing. I've learned quite a lot about throwing and have become proficient at it. When I received this axe, I discovered it wasn't balanced very well for throwing. The head of this axe is substantial compared to the handle. The result is that the axe doesn't maintain a regular rotation, so it's tough to know if the head will imbed itself at a given distance. After eliminating the possibility of using this as a throwing axe, I decided to use it as a general camp axe. It works better for that. The blade edge arrived sharp. A moderate amount of pitting on the head shows that it's a 'moderate quality' casting. One of the first things I used this camp axe for was splitting firewood. Within 3 minutes, the axe's handle began to show a large crack. I knew the handle was finished at that point. So, I found a replacement handle at a box store. I've used the axe with the replacement handle for about two months. Compared to my higher-quality Swedish camp axe, this axe dulls quickly. It's easy to sharpen, but that doesn't last long. Also, the axe head is developing pits. I use the axe during beach camping, so the salt air probably accelerates the pits and rusting, but I haven't experienced that during the six years I've used my Swedish axe. Overall, this axe this axe is more suited to being ornamental rather than useful.

The blade is sharp enough to shave the handle is good and the axe itself is good for 24$The sheath is the only thing that sucks. And the blade needs better polishing but everything is good enough for a cheap axe

Decided to give this tomahawk a try even though it didn't have any reviews. Right out of the box it's pretty evident no one put an eye on this thing before it shipped. The head is crazy crooked. This makes it harder to get to stick when throwing.

the package was open, the wood was cracked from the head of the hatchet to half way down the handle and then it had been sloppily glued back together. aside from that it looks like a nice little hatchet. i wouldve liked to have used it
