I was skeptical, but these bolts are fantastic.They can be used to fasten covers that are about .06" or thicker. They do have a smooth face as advertised and they look good! They all passed inspection - see the picture.Compared to the Dorman regular heat treated steel bolts they are of equal quality. It's your choice to use stainless, but for a cover when you don't need the strength, I don't see why not.
