These bars attach to the motorcycle in three places. The two lower points are relatively substantial, but the uppermost point is only a single 6mm fastener. Obviously, if a significant external force is applies, that screw will immediately fail. I will modify this set by adding two welded on tabs to cradle the top of the frame offering substantially added capability.The cosmetics are fine, however the functionality is very limited.

I put these on my 2002 Honda Shadow 1100 Spirit. I had to modify the holes where the upper center support attaches to the side pieces. I had a feeling modification would be needed due to the other reviews I had read. Even with the modification, it only took me about 30 minutes to install these. They aren’t the sturdiest but they are good enough for giving myself another position to rest my feet. Overall I like them and would buy again. We will see how they hold up.

Do yourself a favor and do not buy this, I’ve got a shadow vt1100c (2006) does not fit anywhere near how it’s supposed to, and I used the Honda manual on removing the pedals and radiator.The company also stopped responding (after one email asking for my type of motorcycle even though I included it in the initial email) to my question so not sure if they saw I initiated return after no response after a day or if they just weren’t going to respond anyways. Don’t risk it unless you’re familiar with modifications
