Every beginning guitar player knows the frustration of realizing they need a few tools and accessories when it’s time to change strings. This little kit has everything you need to make the process simple and fast.Here’s what’s included: There’s two sets of bridge pins – one black set and one white set. These are slotted pins, so if you prefer solid pins, some guitarists simply turn them 180 degrees and ignore the slot. (By the way, unless the bridge is set up to accommodate a non-slotted pin, you can create an indentation or even damage the bridge, so reverse the pin only if you know what you’re doing.)The pin puller is a simple lever that provides plenty of leverage to pop the pin free from the bridge. Be sure to put something under the puller such as heavy fabric or something that will spread the pressure out and avoid denting the bridge when using it.The string cutter is a pair of diagonal cutters with a hardened “bite” to cut steel strings quickly and cleanly.The winder is one of those things that a lot of guitar players seldom buy but then wish they had when it’s time to change strings. Without it, you’re going to wind the tuning pegs a turn at a time which can make the process seem like it it takes forever. This winder fits over the tuner knob and allows it to be turned continuously by the cranking motion of the winder. Bottom line, it saves a ton of time.Overall, this is a great little kit for the new, aspiring, or legacy guitar player. And at the price, you’ll save money over buying the items individually.

The included string cutter and string winder are excellent tools, high quality and convenient to use. I recommend this kit.If you're like me, every hardware store wire cutter you own is completely mangled and no-longer-working because you're always cutting guitar strings with it. For the record, that wire cutter included on a needle-nose or other hand tool is only hard enough to cut copper wire. For guitar strings, you need a cutter designed for steel that can stand up to repeated use without putting nicks into the metal. The cutter included in this kit is high quality and will definitely stand up to use, even with thick bass-guitar strings.The rest of the kit includes two sets of string pins and a pin-puller tool for acoustic guitars. The pins are sized correctly and the puller makes removing them easy.Very happy with this product. I recommend it!

This is a great all in one kit for anyone who wants to replace their guitar strings. The string retaining posts are not as high quality as the original ones in my guitar, but they are still an excellent quality and I was able to replace the one damaged one with no issues. The tuning peg wrench is solid and works well to tighten your strings to close to the note without having to turn the tuning pegs forever with your fingers. It works well and the plastic wrench won’t mar your tuning pegs. The cutters work well and there are no gaps between the cutter edges, giving them the ability to cut cleanly through the metal strings with very little effort. I like the fact that the kit also provides string retaining posts in black and white to accommodate both styles. For the price of this kit, you really can’t go wrong and I have been very pleased with how easy this makes string changes. A great product and a great value.
