The golden charger plates came very well wrapped and were a beautiful gold color for our 50th wedding anniversary dinner party. They were a nice touch and I was very pleased with them. Actually, I had several compliments on them. I gathered the charger plates at the end of the party, took them home, washed them by hand and will use again. Highly recommend. Shipping time was great. They are plastic and black on the underside. No one sees the black part. The value was acceptable. They are versatile enough and sturdy since the main plate only sits on top of this. They were exactly what I was looking for because I wasn’t looking for some gaudy emblem or sparkles on a charger but one that was more simple and sleek. The color looked a little like a 22k muted gold and not flashy. Sometimes simple is more. I loved them.
