Should include directions; I thought it didn’t work until I tried charging it. It must be hooked up to a charger, regardless of battery voltage, in order to initiate. It is capable of delivering 18 watts of output on the USB-PD.The USBs will deliver 12 watts of output; I didn’t try both at the same time to see if that 12 watts is shared or per port. The biggest downside is the massively slow charging as the mini-USB is limited to 12 watts in. I have (16) new 2.5 Amp/Hr cells so at 148 WattHrs for the pack charging I’ll pull the batteries out and charge them 8 at a time with a couple fast chargers. Temperatures stay low both in use and on charging so unless the pack is below 50% I’ll just put in on a USB charger and leave it overnight. One big thing is this pack runs all batteries in parallel so you should make sure all packs are equally used and of the same capacity; this will avoid some battery pitfalls. I top balanced all of my batteries before installation and plan on doing it every month just to keep things going well.

This was perfect for some of the batteries I’ve salvaged from laptop battery packs it gives them some new life and honestly I find the bios quality pretty good the fuxnrionality of what I seen so far is excellent Nd this one is great value for thr money and once you get your batteries in it’s easy to use it will want ya to charge the cells after you put them in but functionality wise I say it will be perfect for anyone trying to get use out of old 18650 cells

If you're looking to make your own power bank out of salvaged 18650 lithium cells, and working with a cheap budget, this is the product for you. It fits 16x 3.7V 18650 cells in parallel (2 rows of 8). So with 1.5 ah cells, that's ~100 watts, which is what I did using salvaged cells from drill packs. You can use whatever capacity you want. For example, you can go nuts and use 3.0 ah cells for a total of 200 watts of power.Pros:CheapLooks decentSolid build qualitySimpleCharges from multiple port types such as USB C, USB A, and even Thunderbolt. I really love that I can use the same iPhone cable for charging my phone or charging the power bankLED light (brighter than the brightest setting on your iPhone)*Easy to mod if you wanted toCons:Charges slow (I'm guessing 10 watts...maybe 20 watts depending on the phone and connection)Recharges slow (faster than it charges phones but slow nonetheless)Limited BMS so you need to make sure your cells are matched (so far it has NOT been an issue for me and I'm mixing various brands and ages of 1.5 ah cells)*Mod capability:There's room for mods such as adding a DIY wireless charging pad or a bigger/brighter LED light.

Internal flat circuits could have been secured better. Once all the batteries were installed, and the cover secured, it seems to work OK.
