I picked this up based on a review someone wrote for the Ego Snow Blower attachment for the multi-head. It was perfect to gain control when the Snow Blower is attached otherwise it is unweildy with the battery on the one end. It allows near perfect control. Certainly perfect for my need and easy to connect and maneuver to the best spot.

I have a very steep section of drainage ditch across my front yard. It pitches up at a 45 degree angle and has proved to be a tiring and laborious job since I moved here 14 years ago.Now after adding this set of wheels to the weed eater the job is much less tiring and actually takes less time to complete. I suppose the reduction in labor comes from the fact that I no longer have to hold the front of the weed eater up while pushing it up the slope. The only down side I can see to the support wheels is the fact that I cannot remove them quickly when finished with the slope. Even with them on the weed eater though the added weight is minimal.

I had purchased an EGO electric snow shovel to deal with light snowfalls, clearing off the deck, and also because it's often cheaper to buy a tool and battery than buying the battery alone. The machine actually works quite well, easily flinging snow 20 feet. The downside is that the tool is heavy. I read about these wheels somewhere and bought them. Utterly transformative. I now have a light duty snow removal tool that's quiet, works well, and also is usable by other family members who are intimidated by my large two stage gas powered monster of a snowblower.Yes, of course, we also have manual shovels, too.

Wheels too small to be functional (but all brands same problem).. The undersized wheels would work on a finished lawn, but then I would just use a lawnmower instead of a string trimmer.I did not have the wobbly wheels many people are complaining about, but the wheels were just too small for it to be functional in the backyard where the ground is not as smooth as a finished lawn..Also, when the string trimmer is adjusted higher THE WHEELS ARE ONLY 12” APPART, so it wants to tip over (which basically makes you grab the string trimmer with both hands and work as hard as though you didn’t have the wheels on it).NOTE: if you use the small wheels, the washer needs to go against the wheels, not under the elastic stop nut (if you don’t put the washer against the wheel, it wobbles more).NOTE: on the adjustment pole: every time you change the adjustment it’s going to scratch the heck out of the finish on the pole. And you can’t just loosen the nuts a couple of turns to change the adjustment (you have to get out a screwdriver and pry the things apart).. Fortunately, what you find where you want it he won’t have to mess with this anymore..ADDED WHEELS:$33 for 10” wheels (with 1/2” hole), and another $10+ for nuts & the 24” threaded rod.The nuts would not go onto my threaded rod, so I had to get a file and file both ends..Tested it with the 10” wheels, and was the right size for the backyard.. But still had some trouble rolling over pine cones and sticks (the only real problem now is wishing I had a much more powerful string trimmer for my giant weeds).. The 8” wheels were a little cheaper, but I didn’t want to risk spending money on new wheels and then having them too small. (like the original wheels).Harbor freight had cheaper wheels, but they were too “heavy,” and the axles were 5/8 inch (too large).Search Amazon for lawn mower wheels. If you do this you will need to drill out the existing holes so the half-inch threaded rod will fit (I did not want to risk a smaller rod, bending out of shape). If you don’t have the right drillbit, add another $10 on a Home Depot trip.Don’t do what I did and try to screw an elastic stop nut 6 inches down the threaded rod (that was a lot of work)..Instead, get 4 half-inch nuts w/washers & 2 lock washers (used to hold the threaded rod in place).I suggest 4 elastic stop nuts for the wheels (you could use regular nuts, washers, and bolts for the wheels, but I can’t guarantee (didn’t try it both ways) by the time you tighten it enough to engage the lock-washers, that it won’t put the brakes on the wheels rotation). I had to back off the elastic stop nuts so the wheels would rotate freely. If you use nuts/washers/lock-washers, The purpose of the washers help make sure the lock washers do their job.

Was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews. This trimmer wheel set enabled me to get back to weed eating my own yard. For several years I have not been able to weed eat my entire 2.3 acres because of back pain. Now I can. It does take a little longer than doing it freehand, but the load is gone off my back from carrying and bending. The wheel do wobble as stated in many reviews, but it is not at all an issue with it's ability to ease the task of weed eating. If you are really concerns with the wheels and extra washer can be installed between both wheels and the frame to eliminate. Over all this is a very sturdy addition and I am very happy with the purchase.

This JOOPSAM String Trimmer Support Wheel is pretty nice for taking a load off of the weed whacking chore.Simple device, adds 2 wheels to the shaft of pretty much any string trimmer. It really does make it so much easier to handle and remove the weight from the body. Add a shoulder harness and you can basically "one hand" weed whack. Now terrain may cause a bit of an issue since it's on wheels. For instance, doing a pond bank, trimming in a side to side motion doesn't work well because one side of the wheel is falling the pond. But for things like fence lines, it works great. Plus you can adjust the placement on the trimmer shaft to keep a pretty consistent cutting height. Helps stop that scalping the ground effect. Now my trimmer wheel set came without the shaft connector component. Amazon took care of it extremely quick via return/replace. So no issues there.Assembly was quick and easy. 2 Bolts, one for each wheel (with a washer). The base is done. Then connect the shaft tube connecting assembly to your desired position. Now that is done too!The steel portions are well made and feel solid. The wheels sort of wobble but it works fine. The wheels themselves also seem well made. Now go mow - and mow longer because your back isn't taking as much abuse.
