The 1986 Topps Baseball distinct design is easy to recognize and unmistakable. Borders are mostly white except for a black background bar that takes up the top quarter of the card. The top of the card has the team name in bold block letters and colored according to the team's colors. A small circle at the bottom of the photo has the player's position. Finally, the player's name is written in caps across the bottom of the card. Card backs are reddish in color with the player's name and vital info at the top. Complete major and minor league stats are provided. When space permits, cards also have a small writeup. Many cards also have an additional box called "Talkin' Baseball" that has a cartoon baseball and a small bit of trivia. Subsets include All-Stars, Record Breakers and Turn Back the Clock. Pete Rose, who broke the all-time career hits record late in 1985, has a six-card tribute that includes reprints of all of his Topps base cards from 1963 to 1985. 1986 Topps Baseball has a pair of insert sets. Glossy All-Stars fall one per rack pack. A separate set of Glossy cards were available through a mail-in offer. Collectors had to send in six different times to build a full set of 60 cards.

Was hoping to get some stars and send for grading but none of these cards are worth anything in this condition. Cards are really curved and warped, so have really no value at all.

Cards were in poor condition. Gum melted in packs. Cards were warped. Way over priced. Box looked like it was beat to hell. Waste of money!!!
