The picture online shows the rails stand on the 1st and the 3rd steps, and are very sturdy.In reality the rails are narrower, and only can stand on my 2nd and the 3rd steps. The bars inside the frames move back and forth because of the big holes. The rainy water will come in and will eventually make the lower legs rusty.I was to return them as my previous installer didn't want to install them, but because we really need the rails, I found another installer who was willing to do it.After the assembly and installation, which cost more than the rails because his tools measured by US Linear and your screws measured by Metric system, the rails look okay and usable. Thank you for selling the rails at a reasonable price, so that we wouldn't regret buying them.

The rail is durable and strong, well made. offered as cast iron. the cast iron part is the upper hand rail, while the rainmaker is mild steel (i think). i had a bit of prob with the metal expansion bolts, due to the fact that i was drilling holes in concrete that contained rock, the rock caused the hole to enlarge past the bit size resulting in a hole too large for the very limited scope of the expansion bolt. however i put the nylon sleeved lag bolts and that worked fine, in wood or concrete with rock. a part was missing which they corrected very satisfactorily in about 10 days. i am happy with the whole deal.

Easy to put together, quick to install on trex stairs off deck. Did purchase more sturdy toggle bolts. Looks great and adds safety and security to steps. Good quality and attractive.

We really like the quality of these. They were easy to assemble, and look great for the beginning of our home renovation! Relatively easy and simple to install, as well. Definitely recommend your own bolts, but aside from that, we absolutely love these and recommend them.

It would have helped if a masonry bit had been included with the mounting bolts.
