These sleeves are pretty nice and do a good job covering the fishing poles. My main concern is that the lines will get tangled with other stuff during transport or one of the rings will get caught on something, and these take care of that nicely. They're easy to slip on/off, the rings and hooks don't poke through them and they add a layer of protection to my rods without costing an arm and a leg. The only thing I wish they did have was a retention strap or something to wrap around the base once you have them on. I haven't had an issue with it sliding off, just something for peace of mind that the poles don't inadvertently start sliding out. Also, it's not super important but it would be nice to be able to select the colors you want - they appear to have a number of colors that they use, but what you get is completely random. I'd like to be able to "color code" the rods that my family uses to make it a bit easier to pick the ones I prefer versus my son, wife, in-laws, etc. I can see someone choosing a different product due to not being able to select color, even though it doesn't really affect functionality. If you don't care about that then I definitely recommend these.

Here is my dilemma. I have a 1984 Ranger V320. Awesome bassboat, but at only 16 1/2 feet, storage is limited. The rod locker will only accommodate 6 to 6.5 foot rods, and I have many that are 7 to 7.5 feet, so I have to have 2 piece rods and store them broken down. I also like to keep them pre-rigged with various lures for various methods. I carry around 10 rods when fishing, with 3 or 4 on the deck and another 6 in the locker. Up until now, the problem has been keeping rods safe and untangled. Rod socks help immensely, but the most common types are made of a plastic mesh that the eyelets of the rods will pop through (thus exposed and unprotected) and hooks get horribly caught up in them. There are some made of neoprene, but I couldn't bring myself to spend $100-$150 to protect 10 rods.Enter the SquEqu (don't ask me to pronounce) Elastic Fishing Rod Bag.Amazingly low price. Well put together. Way better protection for my rods. They are the perfect length for my needs. Might be short for 1 piece rods though.I'm not sure of the material. It's thicker, like neoprene, but softer and somewhat slippery and will stretch. Rods slide in and out effortlessly, and it is much more snag proof for eyelets and hooks than the plastic mesh ones.I will still wrap (1" I.D. foam pipe insulation split on one side) my baits that have treble hooks cuz...well, you know, but the opening is large enough to allow a wrapped crankbait to slide into it so the rod is protected all the way to the reel. It's almost like the manufacturer asked me exactly what I needed and made it for me!And a pair for under $8!Pictures show a 2 piece baitcaster and a 2 piece spinning rod broken down with both halves in the bag, as well as the opening in relation to the reel end on the baitcaster.Keep your lines tight!

The measurements were in it’s description but I expected more stretch. Won’t fit my rods unless they are broken down. I wanted something to protect them while in storage on the boat put together

I expected these to be longer and much stretchier.

Great rod sock, much better than the mesh style. However, the opening for the reel needs to be a few inches longer. toward the tip. That way the end would slip around the butt of a spinning tod to protect the entire rod.

It's a fishing rod sleeve - what can I say. It sleeves my rod just fine.
