Paint on the grate burned and grate deformed after first use. The paint burning is likely toxic and this shouldn’t be allowed to be sold.

Today 10-19-2024 I picked up this product and used it for my mini Teapot. These grades are for small items like my tea pot. But the black coting began to BURN OFF and their was a horrible Smell! Now I'm afraid of using these grades due to fire hazards. I wasted money on these grades!

Paint on cast iron starts to smoke. Cast iron very thin. Paint starts to bubble once heated on flame burner and smells terribly. I am afraid to leave it on the burner for long.

You might want to burn off the paint or coating on the bbq before using inside. My trailer smoke/fume alarm went off on first-use. After that, no issues.

The paint will boil up as you have thousands of degrees from your stoves hiting this metal bracket I meen its not like these rings come with the same paint job as the SR71 Blackbird ( war aircraft ) and this is a type of cast iron but does have some bend to it but you would probaly need a pair of pliers to bend the ring any and I have not seen all the heat from the stoves warp this ring any; As far as any smell I have had no smells from these rings when they are red hot nor warping and these rings have been good for me and I have even ordered these twice I believe. Overall I really like these and they work just fine.
