These snow socks are easy to install and use. Provides improved traction and is lightweight and portable. Made out of strong synthetic fibers, they are durable but I would not recommend driving with them outside of snowy conditions. No issues at all with fitment and fits according to size.

Alright, I know. These Snow socks beats chains? Maybe an overstatement - But after doing tons of research on Youtube and comparison videos of winter tires vs snow chains vs snow socks. It's safe to say, snow socks are pretty up there with the snow chains - Just without all the crazy messy installation videos and time it takes to put it on.But here's the kicker, You can put snow chains on even when you're stuck - But snow socks? You'd need a bit of a play to move the car forward/backwards to complete installing it.The quality? Exceptional - Looked really good and sturdy. Would have to give this a solid 5/5 - Worked surprisingly well too!Stay safe out there everyone :) Remember this isn't for high speeds, Just to roll around in snow.

My husband had the worst time trying to install them onto my car. He scratched up his hands. Trying to put them on.

I found the quality of these snow socks to be very good and they definitely add to the traction of the vehicle. I placed them over snow tires and they did seem to grab a little better than the tire alone, especially on icy roads. Once on the tire, they snugged on closely and fit well, even for a small hybrid with limited clearance. The elastic is strong and the canvas material felt durable, considering the type of usage it is expected to take. I could comfortably drive around 27 mph but as it got closer to 30, I did hear noise coming from the wheel and socks, so would not risk higher speeds. I have no complaint at all about the quality and durability of this product. My complaint and the deduction of two stars is because I doubt that I will ever use them again. They were incredibly difficult to install. My tires are 225/45R17 and I ordered the medium sized sock as indicated with the sizing chart. It seemed as if there was a quarter of an inch to spare around the tire and I only was able to install (and remove) while in the garage and using a jack. Okay, there is probably a learning curve here but I tried the advertised way for over 30 minutes before jacking up the vehicle. Even then, it took 10 minutes to wrestle the sock onto the tire. Perhaps my tire was right on the cusp of moving to a larger size, but it is just not worth the hassle. It is a good product if it fits your tires but it isn't practical for me on the roads.

First off, I'll need to update this review once we actually get some decent snow to test these out with properly. So this is preliminary impressions only. The final tenth mile of our drive is the steepest, and is where traction matters the most. I've had to leave my car parked as far up as I could manage to get it, and walk the final bit to our house - when snow is deep. This is in spite of having some high-end studded winter tires in use. So this is a perfect test of these "socks" and their effectiveness - we just need the dump of snow to try them with.As to the ease of install, these go on quickly - no complaints there. And that about does it for my review thus far.My plan is to wait until the snow prevents me from driving all the way up, then put these to test. Will they work? Will studs in the tire chew them up? Are these worth getting? There's so many answers waiting on the weather to kick into gear!I'll give em 5 stars to begin with, and they'll either keep that rating or lose points depending on how it goes. Stay tuned...

Oeaear Snow Socks for Tires - Perfect Alternative to Snow Chains for Car Tires, Durable Fabric for Ultimate Tire Traction & Grip, Fits Cars, SUVs, Minivans etc (Extra Large)My 2018 Subaru Outback has 225/60 R18 tires so I needed the extra large in this brand.Putting snow socks on your vehicle only take 2 mins to install, 1 min per wheel.  Road tests show they have more traction for acceleration and braking than snow chains with less time to put on an less potential damage to your vehicle. We have 3 vehicles and can only put chains on a pickup truck due to the proximity of steering and suspension parts on the other two vehicles, hence these snow socks.People often give this type of product a negative review stating it picks up snow so quickly so will not work.  They made an incorrect asumption, these are intended to accumulate snow in the material and it is the snow against snow that causes the increase in traction. These particular snow socks come in a durable soft sided fabric case with a handle.Thank you for reading my review of this product. I hope you found it helpful!REVIEW PHILOSOPHY: I only review a product if it is something I am capable of critically evaluating through comparison, testing and use. This means I have experience of using similar items; or that I have equipment or tools that I can test it with; or that I have an upcoming need so I can actually use. I am as selective about getting an item to review as I would be about purchasing that same item, so yes, I expect it to be a good product. My reviews are NOT based on packaging or if it was delivered timely.
