These are really nice dry bags made with excellent materials and craftsmanship. I am using one of them to hold down a small table on our deck that has a large umbrella in the center. We get some pretty good gusts of wind now and then that knocks the table and umbrella over. This bag works great to hold the table down. I will use the other dry bag as a waterproof container for camping. They are quite a bit bigger than I expected, even though the dimensions are correctly shown on the listing. That just means I don't have to fill them up as much with sand to use as an anchor. I did only receive 2 shoulder straps instead the 4 that was advertised (so minus 1 star). I am sure that these bags and straps would work great as designed to hold down a pool ladder. I'm using the provided non-slip mat meant for a pool ladder under a small rug in the house and it works perfectly to keep the rug from sliding around.

I have been looking for something like this, to hold down a set of wide plastic steps for inside an above ground pool. We had to go with an alternative set of steps for one family member who is now disabled, so using a set of wide plastic steps (with a wooden deck, steps, and grab bar on the outside of the pool) is requiring some creative Macgyver-ing. THESE are the piece we have been missing! These bags are very thick, and the material used heavy duty. There is no doubt in my mind that they will hold up well after days of use in a high chlorine environment. The stitching is also heavy duty, and reinforced. The size of the bags is perfect for our needs, without being TOO overpowering for the pool. These will rest safely next to the new steps, one on either side, once our pool opens for the summer. Based on what I have seen of the product so far, I do not hesitate to give this product a full 5-stars.

Now I understand that they are meant for pull ladders; however, I actually ordered these because I came across them, and I thought they would be great for workout equipment, and I was very right about that this being for the fact that they provide a very durable outer layer and can hold up to 60 pounds, which I think is very impressive, especially for something of this type of design. Of course, it is super simple to use, and really you just fill up bags, which is an incredibly simple process. I, however, filled the bag up with water, and although it isn't leak proof the way I'm using it, it still does exactly what I wanted it to do, which is provide stability and giving you more of almost like a water kettle-bell type of equipment, which I think is perfect and exactly what I was looking for. Now, of course, for the intended purpose, I know it would work amazing, because it is durable enough to be used how I intended it, so really great overall, thank you!

Not sure if the type of sand makes the difference, I'm assuming it does at this point, but the weight is around 48-51 when I fill it up. Overall it doesn't matter to me as its enough to do what i need it to do. Its waterproof as described. The material is good enough that I'm not too worried about it somehow getting damaged and tearing inside the pool.I hope it last and so far its doing good.

I like these because they are inexpensive waterproof dry bags of decent capacity, and they have clips for backpack straps. I have mine in use for storing generator cables, rather than weighing down a ladder, and they work well for that purpose.

Good weights for the pool ladder to keep it from floating up. You could probably also use these as dry bags for kayaking or other water sports as well. Pool mat seems like good quality so far too.
