My kids used to put their shin guards in their long socks but they would float and shift while they played and it often resulted in them getting injured or having to stop multiple times to adjust their guards. I purchased sleeves like these last season for my daughter that came in a set with shin guards and they were an absolute game changer. She would wear them with short socks and her cleats for practices, but for game day, she would wear her long socks over them to stay in uniform code. Her shin guards don't move at all, plus there is a layer of fabric between them and her skin which helps to absorb sweat and make them more comfortable to wear as well. This season we got them for my son as well and he is loving the difference it makes entirely. Plus his shin guards are so much less gross when he is finished with practice and games. A quick rub down with clorox wipes and we are good to go, as opposed to having to scrub the dirt out of them each week.

These are going to be great for my boys! The colors are true to the pictures and they have a nice feel and stretch. I may not have read the description well before ordering, but these DO NOT include the actual plastic shin guard inserts. Otherwise, they are a great part 1 of 2 :)

First, I have to say, I didn't even know these types of shin guards existed until my 4 year old signed up for soccer a couple of weeks ago. These things are SO COOL! When I played soccer, we had the velcro on style shin guards that fell off all the time and hurt like crazy if you wore them tight enough to stay on. These are really cool because you get these sleeves (this particular one is special because of the pocket design) and then you get the separate pads and then you can swap them out as needed or your style preference. I LOVE how the pocket you put the pad in has the little flap over that keeps the pad in place. My 4 year old really went wild trying to shake her leg and kick the ball with her shin to try to wiggle them loose, but they held! Great design! Great value for the 2 pack!

These are well made. Comfortable material. Easy to put on and take off. The shin guard would be stable inside of it. Fits a 6 ur old girl well. The reason for the 3 stars is because it advertised shin guards. Not stating that guards are needed as an insert.

I purchased these sleeves to use with the shin guards. Two pairs make it easier to replace them when my legs get sweaty! They are very flexible, comfortable to wear, and easy to clean, as described.
