They’re heavier than real Asulatas, but that helps to give them a nice feeling of momentum and also makes them more durable. I have dropped mine many times and they are still fine.Make sure you tie the rope at the correct short length, because otherwise it will be almost impossible to play them properly. When holding both spheres in your hand, with the rope going from above your middle finger to below your pinky, the rope should be lightly pressed against the backs of your fingers.

Comparado con otro par que me compré y que son de madera, son bastante pesadas. El sonido es plasticoso -lógico, por otra parte- y vienen tan pulidas que es complicado manejarlas para un principiante. Esto último lo solucioné con la lija, matando el acabado que traía. Mejoró mucho. En cuanto a resistencia, ninguna pega que poner. Les he dado caña durante bastantes horas y no se han inmutado. La cuerda es gruesa y el nudo resultante abulta bastante y anula el sonido cuando las bolas pegan en él. Hay que intentar apretar dicho nudo tanto como sea posible, recortar el sobrante y quemar con un mechero para que no se deshilache.

I have been trying with new instruments for a few months now and these asalatos help a lot with practicing your pace and in a very dynamic, organic way, it very fun, it's a bit loud bit that is it's purpose so great Quality, consider it if you don't mind your kids or yourself practicing and maybe bothering other family members.There are cork asalatos great for indoors, suitsble if You plan on Practice, bit these are great too, for practice, jams with Friends, Even if You have a band these work great

These are pretty good, but like ALL the kashakas I see on Amazon, The string comes through the ball and is knotted on the far side. That can screw up the bounce or muffle the sound as the tube balls hit together. The kashakas I have from Africa are made from a natural round shell and have only one hole in each ball, where the knot is just on the inside of the ball. That’s how these should actually be made.

Ich muss meine erste Bewertung ändern. Ich dachte erst die Kugeln sind zu gross für mein Hände. Aber ich habe erkannt, das die Grösse der Kugeln perfekt ist. Es liegt an der Technik die man beherrschen muss. Da hilft nur üben und ein Gefühl für die richtige Technik zu entwickeln.

The only problem I have is the size seems a bit large for my hands, I have medium size hands (glove size). It does take some practice, so I'm thinking playing well is achievable, even with size issue. They have a good sound.

Sound quality is not loud at all. They are also hard to hold. May be ok for kids, but if you are looking for a loud shaker...thus is not it.

These are great and sturdy but the plastic is not as loud as a natural dried gourd. But does the job. You’ll have to hit it a tad harder. But good for practice. It’s fun either way! Buy and enjoy!
