These appear to be just what I was seeking: a sturdy, well-made post holder. I haven't installed them yet, so I can't speak to the quality of the fasteners, and only time will tell when it comes to the durability of the finish. I chose this model because of the interior base, which keeps the post up off the ground (to prevent moisture-wicking and eventual rot), and it also allows any water that seeps in from the top to drain right back out the bottom. Based on everything I've seen, I would recommend this as a very good post holder option if you need to mount a railing or small fence on top of a solid surface like concrete.

These sturdy post stanchion brackets come with hardware. They are powder finished to stand up to elements. Value for price, easy to use, fits post perfectly and black farmhouse color looks nice.

These are well made and heavy. I like that the post won't be in direct contact with ground surface as it will sit on a plate that's up about ½" from the bottom. Perfect for the hubs next project

Nice sturdy posts for not-critical loads. I wouldn't use these for railings or the like, as the two bolts on either side leaves this a bit weaker than you would like laterally, but for my purpose (a decorative/polite recommendation fence post that I don't mind falling over), this works perfectly.

We used these to attach 4x4’s to previously poured concrete. They worked perfectly. Made of quality material, they are able to securely hold up 6’ wooden posts used to secure a vinyl fence. These were cheaper and of better quality than the ones offered at the hardware store. Would highly recommend.

I can imagine some of you are looking for the explanation for a "stand-off"A stand-off is a metal plate built into a post base that bears the weight of the post base and doesn't rely on the screws etc. to keep the wooden post up and away from moisture or ground contact. This 4 x 4 post base would allow the 4 x 4 wooden post to sit in the very bottom of the post base which could allow it to sit against standing water or other contaminants and cut short the life of the wood.I fixed it by taking a couple of squares of heavy metal mesh I had; I then cut them to fit inside the 4 x 4 post base. That then made this set up work because the wood post is now about 1/4" above the bottom of the base.Other than that these are great and you should find them to be a winner, simply make and use your own "stand-off" if appropriate.

Our back deck is put together from other deck parts that were built without integrated railing, so we need to add railing that just attaches on the surface if the deck. We had some U shipped connector, but the screws being directly under the post and not on side flanges made them pretty not sturdy. These have added a lot more structure and rigidity to the railing.Install was very easy, and these bases work great. They also have a decent look for being structural and not really made as finish brackets. They fit 4x4 post well, and they are made with pretty thick metal. Coming in at less than the cost to get them at a box store make these a great value. Definitely recommend.
