Attached the hard wood piece in order to run smoothly. The black bars doesn't go through equally as you can see. But it doesn't bother me.

This edge guide does not work with Ryobi P601 as stated. When attached, the guide is not even close to flush with the base plate on the router, you would need to add some spacers and use longer screws to make it work.

Perhaps I was confused, but the text for the device clearly said it would fit a Roybi number R163. Alas. it did not.

once the edge guide is screwed into unit, it is very difficult to set edge as it does not move easily. the alignment when screwed in must be off enough that it binds the guide
