I had to go through and change out some tips that were getting old. Some of these screens were getting clogged as well, squirting with the hose and some particles were lodged in the screens. Ordered this bag and ended up replacing them all, won't have to touch them again for a decade or two! HAHABlessings, Tom

Our irrigation water is pulled from a farmer run off creek. So it loaded full of small grass particles. The Hunter screens are so fine they was plugging up weekly. Can't replace with rainbird white screens as Hunter has designed theirs so they don't fit.

Truth be told. I had no idea sprinklers even had filters until I got a ridiculous quote for replacing clogged heads, running lines, swapping filters. I bought these and saved hundreds of dollars by just doing them myself.

I purchased this filter for use with a Hunter pop up sprinkler head. The irrigation system was either installed without the filters or the maintenance company removed them (probably because they clog up and eventually a service call is triggered). I needed the filters in some of the sprinkler heads to enable the shut off function with the spray adjustment screw. These filters had a larger inner diameter at the top of the filter so instead of shutting off the head, the screw simply fell into the bottom of the filter and the spray was not stopped. I did not discover this problem until I tried using these filters. Now, when I look at the photos provided in the Amazon listing, on close examination (with zoom in), I can see that the "feature" is missing from these parts.

I have used these to replace several of my sprinkler filters and it makes a huge difference in the amount of spray the sprinklers deliver! This is a low cost way to improve the functionality of your sprinklers!
