Since I am constantly fixing broken electrical appliances, plus I've taken on the project of re-wiring my 63 Chevy Nova, I got this Insulated Electrical Wire Connector kit to fill in all the empty spaces of my current kit. This isn't something you need every day unless you use them as a part of your job. But when you need one, you NEED it! You may need only one or two of a particular size, and your choices are to go to the store and buy a box of 25 of that type or buy a box that contains several of different sizes and configurations, like this one that costs only a bit more than you'd pay for that box of 25 at the auto parts store.I bought these to serve as a troubleshooting aid for my pellet stove, which has stopped feeding pellets. I'll be able to construct jumpers to bypass status switches and measure voltage and continuity at various places in the circuit. This will provide easy, secure access to test points for my multimeter probes, making it much easier to keep my hands free and diagnose the problem.There are sets of connectors in three commonly used gauges of wire, and the insulated crimp sleeves make it easy to connect them to the wires. If desired, the wires can also be soldered if extra physical connection integrity is desired.I find this to be a good value for such a handy package of connectors.

I needed just a few specific terminals in this kit for a specific project. The whole kit arrived at my door for way less than the cost of driving to a local store and buying a small bag of the terminals I needed. They are working perfectly in my application.The terminals themselves seem fine. The metal on the 12ga yellow male 1/4: spades, the ones I needed, is thinner than the part it replaced. My install is low-current but I needed the 12ga-capable size so I could stuff an extra wire in the barrel. It's working OK so far in my low-voltage 5A circuit, but... Were I trying to carry 20A through it, I'd be a little more concerned. Use your best judgement, and shop for a heavier-duty piece if it needs to carry more current, or offer better clamping in a blind female terminal that you can't squeeze a little tighter... like mine.
