built nicely, and feels durable. Not sure of battery life yet, my thinking was getting it on the saddle horn for evening rides.

This light i had high expectations for. While it does cast a wide beam, it, even in max brightness, isnt as bright as a similar one that has 3 led's.upside is the battery in this will last a while. Not as 'penetrative' with the light as some $100+ but for the cost this light is great. id absolutely trust this light for a night rip around my local trails. it is on the heavier side of lights so weight weenies look elsewhere as well

This light is huge. I honestly didn’t expect it to be as big as it was when I saw it in the pictures. Personally, I think that the phone holder is a bit too small. It won’t hold my iPhone with my OtterBox on it. Personally, I won’t ride with my phone without a heavy duty box on it just in case it should fall out of the holder, which has happened to me on more than one occasion. So that is one negative point on the design. Seems to be of a decent belt quality. Most everything is made of metal. It comes with a rear tail light, but it’s just one of the cheap ones so nothing fancy there. Personally, I think it’s a little bit expensive for no better than it works. But it does have a neat design and may function quite well for you if you’re not using a big phone case on your phone like I am. The light beam seems to be designed to direct the light towards the ground, so it doesn’t blind oncoming traffic, which is a plus in my opinion. With the size of it any oncoming traffic should definitely be able to see you. The battery life isn’t super long, but as big as it is and as many LED bulbs as it has, that’s not a big surprise in my mind.

The AKALATE bicycle light is the best bicycle headlight I've ever reviewed. I love that the battery is built into the light because this excludes the need for an external battery pack. The wide dispersion of light illuminates the entire road ahead. The flashing function is bright enough to alert even the distracted driver that you're on the road. The handlebar mount comes with a variety to shims that ensure you can fit this on virtually any handlebar circumference. The phone holder leaves a lot to be desired. If you have one of the newer iPhone 16 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro Max phones, this phone holder grips right were the side buttons are unless you grab the phone at the very bottom and this is likely and inadequate place to safely hold the phone. Also, the springs that clamp the holder shut are so strong that my wife has a very hard time getting her phone in there. If you need to use the light as a phone charger, there's a handy USB-C port that allows you to charge a phone even while the light is in use. And given what I perceive to be the limitations of the phone holder, I might recommend the version of this light that doesn't include the phone mount. The rear light is nothing to write home about. It's a tiny little cheap light that really doesn't complement the rugged construction and utility of the headlight. I have a better taillight, so I put this little taailght on my grandson's balance bike.I do recommend this headlight, but there are much better taillights on the market to compliment this light.

First, any bicycle light with Go-Pro-type mounts and a secure mounting to the handlebars (without stretchy rubber attachments) will get points with me. The AKALATE 2in1 Super Bright Bike Light has an excellent attachment system that is slim and secure. It uses plastic inserts to adjust for different size handlebars, and though I couldn't test all the bar sizes, they fit fine on my bars (31.8 Ø). I also like that this mounting system puts your light and phone in the center of your bicycle, which is excellent.HeadlampPros: It provides a lovely, wide beam ideally suited for bicycle riding. With both Low Beam and High Beam turned on, the instructions say 2.5 hours of runtime, but I got more than 3 hours of continuous runtime—very impressive.Cons: This light is heavy. It weighs 315g for the light alone, which is about three times my other premium bike light. Also, the light is mounted underneath the bracket, which can make it slightly difficult to remove (it just snaps in for putting it on). It's a bit too heavy for a serious road bike and doesn't penetrate deep enough for off-road mountain biking at night.TaillightIt's not very bright, and it attaches with a rubber stretchy thing that I am not a fan of. It's rechargeable, which is a plus. It's better than nothing at all, but I would look for a better taillight.Phone HolderIt holds the phone securely and in a great position. However, it doesn't have anything to dampen vibration or shocks, so it depends on the bike. It would be great on a city bike with some front suspension but not so good on a road bike with a carbon fork and handlebar.Overall, this light's suitability for a city bike, which I think is its calling, makes it a solid value and earns it a full five stars.
