Small refrigerator wasn’t holding the temp, changed out the temperature gage and fixed. Just like having a new refrigerator. Glad it was fixable.

Still in the bag, a hole was torn in bag and the label peeled off from the thermostat. Can still see residue. No ratings indicated. Hopefully it doesn't burst into flames. I assume these were rejects out of the factory and de-branded after being removed from the trash can.

Update 11/16/21: The second one is still working correctly. Temps have been staying within 2-3 degrees. Even with the 50% failure rate, still a bargain. But I'll keep the 3 stars since really they should both have worked.Update 11/1/21: I ended up swapping for the second one in the pair and so far this one seems to be more stable. The temp has remained within 2-3 degrees each time I have checked in the last 36 hours and the temp knob seems happy toward the middle of it's range. (the other one had to be nearly maxed out to get it to work). Assuming this one *continues* working, then I am still satisfied with the purchase since the price for two of them was lower than the the price for one of next cheapest. Docking some stars due to a 50% failure rate and requiring me to fiddle with it for several days in order to come to that conclusion. Fingers crossed this one holds up.Update 10/29/21: After watching it closely for the last week, I'm not convinced this thermostat is working correctly. The freezer temp seems to be all over the board. I can hear the compressor cycle on and off periodically, but the thermometer I have in the freezer is seeing fluctuations as much as 25 degrees. It will vary from -6F to over 20F. I've tried adjusting the temp setting but even just tweaking it a tiny bit seems to swing the scale way in the opposite direction. I need to hook up a temp logger to see what's really going on. I may try the other one to see if it works any better.---Original Review---I had the thermostat go out on my Magic Chef MCBR402S mini fridge. The part number on the OEM one was WDF27J-L, but I had a terrible time trying to find an exact replacement with that part#. If a site claimed to have them in stock, they were $45 or more. Most sites said out of stock, and none of the ones I found on Amazon listed that exact part number as compatible. Some sites listed the replacement part# as 312180100012 and I believe that's what lead me to this one. After researching as much as I could, I determined that this WDF18-L had pretty close to the same electrical rating and temp range as the OEM, so I figured at under six dollars for a pair of them it was worth a shot. The amp rating is only 4/5 instead of the 6A rating of the OEM, but the whole fridge is only consumes 1.5A, so I don't think that will be a problem.Physically it looks identical to the OEM other than the spade lugs being a different shape to accommodate different sized connectors. The sensor lead is roughly the same length and has what looks like a solder blob on the end to seal it. I think that's what happened to the old one - it didn't have that blob and it appeared it might have leaked out whatever is supposed to be inside the tube. The only real mechanical difference is that the "flat" on the temp adjustment shaft is oriented different than the OEM, so the numbers don't line up right for the adjustment knob. I wonder if the 18 vs 27 in the part number indicates the orientation in some way. No big deal - I'll just make a new mark to indicate what it's set at.I was able to install it in just a few minutes and the fridge started right up. I've had it running for about a day now and the temp seems to have stabilized just where it should. This model fridge isn't very even with it's cooling, so the temp against the back wall is sub-freezing while the front is in the upper 30's. Pretty much how it worked before. As long as these last at least a few years, I think they are a great bargain. Saved me at least $40 on the cost of the part and $250 or more to replace the whole fridge. I just wish I knew of a good cross-reference resource so I didn't have to spend so much time trying to research what to order.

Magic Chef apartment sized refrigerator now works better than it did with the factory thermostat. The capillary tube was about 3" longer, but I coiled up the excess next to the thermostat. Much better cycling now.
