These couplers are too tight. It usually takes me a few seconds to attach the ball chain to the coupler. That's why I bought them. It took me several tries. My husband had to stretch the opening with a small nail to get it to work. Luckily, we had some old couplers lying around.

you can't fit a ball chain necklace unless you pry them open with plyers.
