This shutoff switch is mounted in a steel box with knockouts on the sides and with drilled holes (with covers) on the bottom for conduits. The line and load side connections are shielded by clear plastic covers, so the line connections can be kept covered while working on the load connections. Removing these covers requires a tiny #1 Phillips screwdriver. This box and the switch itself are NOT LABELED with voltage and current rating, so the building inspector may not believe it is a 30A rated switch. I even went so far as to remove the switch from the DIN rail (not easy), and found NO ratings are on the back, either.

I used this for an air compressor and it's really working well. Wiring is straight forward and the diagrams on the inside of the box are clear and concise. The switch mechanism is solid and locks into position nicely with a very solid click and the red handle, although not solid plastic, is certainly strong enough to work well. The termination points allow for securing the wires easily with no movement or worries about coming loose. The overall quality of metal box is excellent with a nicely painted gray exterior, should resist weather issues without difficulty. The inner face plate is held in place via four small screws which make installation and servicing both quick and easy.Seems like a really nice, high quality switch and it's been working perfectly for my application.
