Purchased it to split between my Tesla and the dryer works perfect just remember not to use the dryer when the vehicle is on charging

I bought this to allow me to “Time-Share” my 30 amp 240v clothes drier outlet with my electric vehicle’s mobile charger while waiting on installation of a permanent wall charger. I was very careful to never operate the drier and the charger at the same time and it worked perfectly.Build quality is great, connections are tight and there was no heating issues at all.Now that the wall charger is installed I carry this splitter along with a 240v extension cable and the mobile charger in my vehicle, often allowing me to charge at my destination and saving enough on commercial charging to pay for that equipment.

I've been using this for 4 months and have had no issues. I just needed an easier way to swap between the dryer and charging my Tesla Model Y when I need the 30a charging over the 110 outlet. The cable gets the slightest bit warm during charging, but no warmer than the Tesla mobile charger.

This product works great at a reasonable price point. I only took off a star because no matter what NEMA 10-30 extension cord (I’ve tried two different brands) I try in this, it won’t fully fit in the socket. It goes in, but stops with about half an inch still not in. It’s not an issue with the extension cords as I tried two and both fit fully in my dryer socket but would not fit fully in the socket of this splitter. That being said, they still worked and could draw power via the splitter.

Product works as stated. Doubles the 220 outlet so I can use my dryer and have a plug for my electric car. Has not gotten hot either during use.Note: Even though two items are plugged in, you will most like trip breaker if running both at same time. I use dryer or charge car. I guess the main convenience is not having to unplug and replug anything.

I charged the car by dryer NEMA outlet. Because the outlet is original since the house was built 50 years ago, its condition is hard to estimate. I don't want to keep plug/unplug this outlet while charging the car on the weekend, therefore I purchased this product to plug in to the outlet permanently. When charging the car, I will plug in to the splitter. So far it works as expected. I don't see any issues such as overheated.
