This grate is heavy and holds a fairly large pile of wood. It fits well in our oversized fireplace.

i would have never guessed a fireplace grate would make the difference this does. it supports the burning wood and coals, which allows air flow for better combustion. then when they become ash it just falls thru the grate.

Received product broken called and they were very nice and sent out another grate this one also came broken. I called and received a refund it must happen alot. they gave me no problems about a refund.
