It feels like this whole chair leans forward, so when you rest your back all the way it almost seems like i could slide off. My feet touch the ground firmly so it's not because my legs are short. The padding, is VERY firm. Not really what I was hoping for. Almost solid. The rocking motion is delightful, swivel is great. I have cats so the velvet is much easier to get their hair off of instead of the sherpa option. Whoever invented sherpa, never had pets or lint or anything that pills... terrible like velcro it holds on to animal fur, human fur, lint... you name it. I'm on the fence about keeping this chair due to the firmness and strange orientation. Maybe it is just this chair? There's always a lemon and I tend to get those a lot. We'll see what the seller says and if they have a remedy? It's better than the chair i had, but almost as bad due to the issues I mentioned. It rocks better and it's slightly bigger. I'm 5'6", 140lbs with a short body and all legs, my inseam is 34 inches. Could just be my odd proportions? But the firmness is definitely universal. Even my husband thought it was too firm, and he likes firm beds and sitting options. I really want to love it, as the size is ideal and it seems well made in general. Assembly was easy. Wish I could have gotten a blue one but the delay in shipping was outrageous for that one. This is OK, I'll put a cover on it. I'm just a bit perplexed about this chair. Hmmmm....
