perfect for 3d printing. the variety of sizes you get in this kit is impressive! For the money this is one of the most complete kits of threaded inserts I have seen. They work great because you insert them into the finished 3d print with a hot soldering iron and the knurled outer section really takes hold inside the hot plastic before it cools and leaves you with a nice threaded insert that wont pull out unless you have a ton of force. They are also nicely labelled and come in a nice organized case.5 stars for sure

I usually model and print threads in my 3d prints. If I want a tight fit, I run the screws directly into the part. If I need a free fit (say for thumbscrews), I run a tap through the plastic first. But when I need maximum strength, and need the threads to hold up over lots of cycles; then I use these inserts. I use a soldering iron to melt them into place, and then I have strong, long-lasting threads that will perform over time.

A great kit for different small projects. Having a little bit of every size is handy for when I need just one or two screws. The nice organized box makes it easy to find the exact size I need. Common sizes are still better to get in bulk though.

The threading was clear and smooth, and the variously-sized bolts I tested all screwed in snugly and without any snagging. Each insert has two sections of counter-rotating knurling that should give a very firm hold on the plastic they're inserted into. The plastic case has an extremely secure snap, and the internal separators are tall and rigid. I've had enough of these hardware boxes arrived completely jumbled to appreciate that this case does it well. These kits have a ton of variety. I'm a bit mixed on such kits in general, since you're always going to have a ton of leftovers in sizes you don't use while running out of the most common ones. But in this case, I think it's more manageable. Even though you only get 5 of each size of the M6 inserts, you get 15 inserts that can accept M6 bolts, and it's often not that hard to use a different size of insert if you run out of one. Easier than the equivalent situation with a variety-pack of bolts or standoffs, at least.

I got these as I like 3D printing stuff and a lot of different 3d printed materials require these brass inserts. This kit is exceptional and comes with many different size of inserts, perfect for 3D printing adventures. In terms of quality, they seem pretty good. I've used them for a couple of projects now and they've been working well, threads have been on point. No issues whatsoever. For the price, they're pretty good!

With how popular 3D printing has become, these things are nearly a necessity. Most of my prints require them somewhere. And these push-in and set perfectly. No bubbling nor easy pull-out.The kit comes with a good assortment and a decent number per size. You can and should buy a couple supplements for your frequently used sizes but this is good for a starter or to have the extra sizes in stock. The price is good both for a starter or for the variety.Definitely a buy for people who play with 3D prints. And don't forget the iron!

These inserts work well for heat setting into 3d prints. I normally print in hole for small nuts that I then glue in if they need to hold light tension; normally they're more for positioning. Now with these I have more options! So far I have only used a few of the inserts and they have held up well. I don't expect them to hold a large tensile force just because of the way 3d prints work. They do work well for aligning parts and holding them together.I really like that this set came with a box for storage that has all of them nicely labeled and separated. It currently is sitting next to some rolls of filament and is much easier to find the size I want than digging through bags filled with different sized inserts.Pros:-Storage box-Multiple sizes/depthsCons:-noneOverall, these threaded inserts work for my use cases, I would recommend them for use in 3d prints. I will be updating this review if I run into any issues or future positive experiences.Disclaimer: I did receive this product through vine voice, so I have gotten this product at approximately 20% of the cost of the item due to taxes I will have to pay. I try to be objective in my review, however due to this situation this has a potential to produce a bias.

Got this set mainly because the M3 inserts caught my attention as most of my 3D printers' assembly components are based off the M3 format. Then when I started playing with my designs, I've adopted the M3 screws for consistency. These inserts come in handy when I had to build a bento-box air recirculation filter set. I like these inserts because of how quickly they take up heat and they have a orienting dowel so that I don't skip too far from a vertical insertion. The knurled threads seems to be working well in keeping the inserts in place as a permanent fixture. I've gone over a good 10Nm of torque on the M3 inserts and it didn't strip the insert housing at all. That's quite good because my previous non-knurled set couldn't survive more than 5Nm. Anyways, if you're reading my review and are shopping around for some strong threaded inserts, look no further. This is absolutely a good kit.

Anyone that has done much 3D Printing has probably come up against the need to screw parts together and the shortcoming presented by screwing directly into the plastic. Threaded brass inserts are a great way to improve joining parts together with screws, and this is a great assortment of the most commonly used sizes. The plastic storage case neatly organizes the inserts and conveniently identifies the sizes and compartments on both the outside and inside of the lid. The smallest sizes are also contained in small zip lock bags to further protect them from migrating between compartments.I have used these in a number of PLA and PETG 3D prints and found them to have good holding strength in the plastic and not prone to spinning loose. They are especially useful when its important to be able to disassemble parts and where extra holding strength for joined parts is needed. For me they have become almost invaluable in functional prints and they provide a more professional finished product. I highly recommend them for any hobbyist or Maker interested in improving the quality and strength of their finished 3D printed projects.
