Step 1 : cut the mold

Cut the mold at the side or back .

Check the inside of mold and see where is the side or back . Don't cut the mold from the front .If cut the front side , the mold line will be left on the front of final candle , it will look not good.

My 1st purchase of this mold produced a nice crisp clean candle. I ordered 2 more molds to speed up the process of making 50+ candles. The 2nd order of molds from the same merchant do not produce the same crisp clean candle. The molds have a lighter thinner feel to them. The 1st mold was pink, had thicker heavier feel all around. The 2nd order was turquoise in color and did not do as well.

I was a little worried how this candle would turn out and how difficult it would be to remove. I didn’t have any issues! I did poke a hole at the bottom of the mold with a thick sewing needle and thread through my cotton wick. As for the un-molding I just peel it back and loosen the candle on each side as I went. ( some like to cut the mold and then tape it back up , but I didn’t find a need for it.) I did use 100% Beeswax which is a harder wax and that probably helped with the un-molding process.

This mold is a lot smaller than the product photos appear. However I’m absolutely delighted by the quality of the candle it produces. You must follow the directions shown on the product video otherwise you’ll find it difficult to remove it from the mold. You will need to partially slice the silicone. To get the black surface I painted it with a sponge brush using Rit dye. If this was pillar size it would be the ultimate in cool!!!!

This mold makes a really nice candle that looks like hand-rolled beeswax.

easy enough to use; nice design; some demolding finesse required as there are some cutbacks in the design. I would buy this again; note I did not find a register for the wicking (description stats for candle) wicking would have to get added after modeling

You might need an extra set of hands to remove your item from the mold, however the mold is super durable and exactly as I expected.
