Too pricey for two pads. Photo at web page misleading. Other seller has same "0" 3M pads, six for $11.00!!

They work well and are much cleaner to use than wire wool

So it's steel wool that you just need sometimes. Another quality product made by 3M.

Product is good. Do not be deceived by the photo, you get only 2 pads in a package.

I've used these pads to restore the blueing on older guns. Use the blueing compound of your choice and these pads to polish the metal. Afterwards you can just rinse them and store for later re-use.

Kind of resembles a scrubbing pad you buy for the heavy duty pot cleaning in the kitchen.I suggest that you try a light touch when first using it as it is fairly abrasive.I haven't used it enough to really rate it but I'll add to this review when I do.July 2013I bought a couple of sponge sanders which I like more. I can wash those, reuse them and they sand quite efficiently. I really like them better that this pad. Easier on the finger tips too.

Synthetic steel wool, or steel wool for that matter, may be a thing of the past to many but as a woodworker I've found it very useful for finishing. Unlike standard steel wool this stuff leaves no residue in the finish. I keep the used pieces for rough work like removing finishes. I prefer the #00 and #000 but have been unable to find it.
