I use these for attaching hinged panels under my trucks dash that I mounted my relay/fuse panels onto so they are out of the way but easy to access. I love that I can just push a button and the entire panel swings down so I can access wiring if need be.

I was looking for hood pins and thought these might be a decent alternative. No. I would not trust these to hold my hood down on the highway by themselves. However, they work pretty well as quick releases for bumper covers!
