Worked well, but you have to be very careful when you put one into the drill and try to hold the chock to tighten it. If you get near one of the blades, it can cause damage to your hand. Drilled quickly into soil and underlying sand. Good selection. I wish there was an extension piece to all for deeper drilling, but these augers should last a long time.

these bits make planting a breeze. They're incredibly durable and efficiently dig through various soil types, saving me so much time and effort. The spiral design ensures smooth operation and consistent holes for bulbs, seedlings, and larger plants. These bits fit perfectly with my drill and have become an indispensable tool in my gardening routine. Highly recommend for anyone looking to make planting easier and more efficient

These Auger Drill bits are adorable looking, but they wouldn't even penetrate the topsoil! I tried a few drills, corded and uncorded, with all the power requirements specified, and these attachments did nothing. Not one of the four achieved anything resembling a hole. The soil could be dug with a trowel; I just thought these might make things faster. When I tried them in an indoor houseplant, they worked there, but I could've dug those holes with a finger, no need for a drill or attachment! Mine came with the paint chipped ever so-slightly in a few places around the edges. I don't know if this would've led to an increased chance of rust over time. I didn't keep them.

Received these the other day and planned on giving them to my son who has a leak detection business and needed a way to drill into the earth to listen to water flow. So far they have worked well as we live in an area with hard-packed red clay so sometimes it can be very difficult to get any item into the soil. He uses thin probes that often will not push into the ground so by using the smaller drill bit he can punch a small hole and put the dirt back into the hole around the prob tipI will likely use the larger bits whenever we plan on planting flowers or bushes around the house as those will take a much larger hole and this unit has four different sizes which makes it very helpful for having the right size for the right project. These also seem to be heavily painted which will protect them from resting too quickly and that is another thing I appreciate about them. I am looking forward to years of use since it will be easy to use a grinder to put an edge back on the portion of the bit that starts the hole.

I planted tulips by drilling 8" deep holes. It took me less than 10 minutes to systematically drill 30 holes, set the bulbs and backfill. I can't wait until next year.

My wife and I do most of our landscaping projects such as planting flowers and bushes. There are many other uses like installing fence posts or mixing things in a bucket. I have seen augers like these and decided it was time for time-saving, work-saving, blister-preventing, sweat-wiping tools. These arrived in a 4-pack that consists of 3 sizes. The description reads 4 but the one size comes in 2 post lengths. Those posts are 3/8ths in size which is a drill that most homeowners have on hand. The 3 sizes are good for most of the planting we do. They have spiral tips which makes getting the hole started a breeze. When I saw the smaller size I immediately thought about digging holes to make the insertion of solar low-voltage light posts easier. They appear to be "powder-coated" not just painted with bright green paint and are heavy-duty steel, not less expensive pot-metal.
