The rubber is flush with the carpet. There is nothing for the pitcher to push off of.

So far so good. Took it to one of my son's practices to have a mound when we have to practice at the school. Worked fine for pick offs, its wide enough where we aren't concerned about the pitchers rolling their ankles. its compact enough to fit in the back of my SUV along with all the other gear. Looks to be well built...so far so good. The price was good in comparison to others.

Large, regulation size, authentic feel.Really helps you get into the right mindset for practice.Portable, can be brought anywhere, from backyards to parks, to the cottage and more.The little player I know loves working on his pitching under 'real' conditions.He's no pro but he possibly appreciates it more than anyone else ever could.

I recently tested out the Carivia Portable Pitching Mound, and here's a breakdown of its features to save you scrolling through a book of details and my experience using it:The Good Stuff- Solid build with sturdy plywood and thick turf—it held up well to spikes.- Regulation-size rubber made it feel like real game conditions.- Super portable with a handle, so I could easily toss it in the car after practice.Opportunities- At 4 inches, it’s a bit low for those used to a full mound.- Would’ve loved a bit more cushion on the turf—still solid, though.Bottom Line: Sturdy, easy to transport, perfect for honing pitching form on the go.

This pitching mound works well overall. However, the rubber isn't as securely attached as some I've used in the past, and a few corners are already starting to lift. The mound is lightweight compared to others, making it easy to carry with the built-in handle. The structure is well built.
