I'm using these with C-stand and monopod frames. They're exactly the right size for the 3/8"-16 holes on the various clamps, booms, and "cheese plates" I use, and they're serving quite well, even horizontally with a few pounds of load out at the ends.

I used these to mount a garage heater to the ceiling. Don't go cheap, you don't want 100# falling on your head. Easy to use and very sturdy. Nice clean threads.

I bought this to use to hold together some recovery boards, and it seems good so far. The threading is clean and smooth, and the rod itself was verified to be straight. This is good quality hardware.
