Tried to contact seller but the stupid auto fill won’t allow me to write my own message. Either way, this mailbox is not very sturdy and it came with hardware that was normal for china products!! All of the fasteners, about 30 of them were metric screws because all the panels were drilled and tapped with metric threads. About 15 or so of the screws had so much “slag” inside the head that I couldn’t even get a screw driver inside the head to use them so they went into the trash. I had to run to the hardware store to get another couple dozen screws to put this thing together. No happy as I had to get this mailbox up late at night since somebody ran over our other one. Another thing was that I had to use a reamer to ream out some holes in the panels to put it together because the holes did not line up with some of the threaded panels behind. If you don’t have a shop with some tools and extra parts, you might want to rethink buying one of these. To top it off, there are four holes in the back of this mailbox and they provide four concrete anchors for you to mount it to a wall but in all my 62 years on this earth, I have never seen a mailbox mounted to a wall except in a apartment building, but this is a mailbox for a house so why wouldn’t you have holes in the bottom of the mailbox instead of the back? The concrete anchors they gave to mount it to the wall, also got thrown in the trash because they weren’t long enough to do any good mounting it to the concrete on the bottom as they are very short, maybe use to hang a picture on the wall, lol. I then had to find some plugs to put in the back to fill the holes so rain didn’t get inside, then I had to drill four holes in the bottom of the box and mount it to the concrete FLOOR. But it still wasn’t that easy because the metal being so thin, I had to get big washers and steel plates and distribute the mounting throughout the bottom of the box. Again, I would caution anyone who doesn’t have tools and some parts to go another route!!! I don’t want to be negative just cautionary. Michael j.
