Not sure how this works yet, mic does require phantom power.This is specified in the manual.Does not work without phantom power hooked into a camcorder.I will update review when my H4e arrives.

My old one broke never used this seller before but they ship fast comes with everything just buy a new usb sound card that is see through blue on amazon for $4 that one works better
