I use these for the shock cord pull-outs on my camping hammock. They are exactly as expected. I only needed 4 so I now have more than I could ever want. Be prepared for a long shipping time direct from eastern hemisphere.

Durable, tough, strong. But you'll have a heck of a hard time pushing the button to thread anything through. It's possible. But you have to apply so much force that half the time the little do-dad flies out of my hand as I attempt to squeeze it. I don't have the world's most amazing hand strength, but it's not a problem anywhere else in my life. If you won't be threading them often maybe you'll love them? But if you are buying these to use in volume or want to be able to thread and re-thread them I think you might be disappointed.

Just threading the paracord through the holes in these 'Cord Lock's' is an adventure in frustration. I had to pull the paracord sheathing back over the top of the inner strands of the paracord. Then I clipped off the inner strands, and pulled the outer braid back into place so that inner strands were about 2 inches behind, (and inside of) the outer braiding. Then, and only then, I was able to thread the empty braiding through the holes in the Cord Lock. I also needed to use hemostats (long nose pliers would also work, but hemostats can lock onto stuff)Once I threaded the entire paracord through the Cord Lock, I discovered that the Cord Lock is always held into it's 'open' position (buttons fully depressed). The diameter of the paracord, and the weak springs simply exceeds the clamps ability to push the paracord into a shear-locked position. So the end result is that the Cord Lock does NOT lock the cord in place. If the cord lock worked properly the buttons would pop back out part of the way when released and the cord would be locked into position. But, they do NOT. The buttons always stay in their innermost fully depressed position. The Cord lock does provide a snug sliding effect, but the springs are always remain fully compressed and the Cord Lock never is able to push the paracord into the side-shearing-kink that it need in order to 'lock'. These 'Cord Locks' need to be about twice the size that they are now, with way more powerful springs.

I purchased these for face coverings; I've run them through the wash multiple times and so far, they're holding up. They're small, so you can't use anything larger than size 95 paracord or elastic cord.

Even better than I hoped! Yes, these are tiny but, the size is as advertised! I needed them for 1/8” shock cord. They are a hair snug to get the cord through, but once you do (minimal effort required) these hold better than anything else I’ve found. I’m thrilled I found them!!
