Too big for the sourdough project I had in mind, but great for storing dry goods in the pantry!

I use these with a Braun hand blender to make daily shakes, cutting down on the amount of washing I need to do. They're large enough to hold 4 cups of liquid, 3-4 bananas, and a few other mixins with plenty of room to blend. They're easy to handle for an adult but if you have small hands they may be a bit awkward. They are also bottom-heavy, so they won't easily tip over if bumped accidentally - important for such large jars.Putting the lids on and off is a bit of a task due to the 4(!) pieces per lid, but they're glass and the seals seem long-lasting if you're not canning with them. Definitely not very portable as risking losing the clips would be a nightmare. That said, only the clips and gasket need to be handwashed and they're very easy to - you can throw the lids and jars in the dishwasher, unlike mason jars which have a risk of the food-contact areas rusting. I don't actually put the lids on often in my daily use though. They're a bit more expensive but really, these are HUGE and you will struggle to find any that are as big while still being usable.

Got these jars at the suggestion of someone in one of my fermentation groups. Have used them multiple times for lacto fermenting vegetables and have never had a ferment gone bad. They look great, they are easy to clean, they were pretty decent value. I Will buy additional jars.

Best set-up for sourdough starter, especially if you're baking gluten-free and don't like throwing that discard away. I keep one on the counter that is fed daily and one in the refrigerator that may get fed once a week depending on how much discard gets used in the plethora of sourdough discard recipes out there!

Jars came today. Quickly, I might add. Packaged well so they didn’t not break, crack or chip. Washed one out and put my starter in its new home. I had a quart Mason jar I was attempting to use but it was not going to give me enough head room to feed my starter. Now I have more than enough room. I did put the top on without the rubber ring and attached 1 clip to keep it on the jar loosely. This should allow it to burp without an issue. Really pleased with the look, quality and size of this jar. I got 2 jars in case I want to create a different starter in the other jar. Just an amazing product that I didn’t know I needed.

The one jar that was not broken is lovely, very pleased with it.I bought it as as a package of two. Unfortunately due to poor packaging and likely rough handling while shipping the other jar was broken.
