If you have difficulties getting out of your vehicle this is the product for you. The handle works very well and durable, comfortable on the hands, easy to use and valuable to the older persons.

I was originally just looking for a seatbelt cutter and glass breaker but when I saw this, I was thrilled to try it. My elderly family member has been having more trouble getting out of the car than they used to. We have a low sedan and they have to push themself up out of the seat to stand up, which isn't always easy. I always offer my hand or arm for leverage or to help pull them up but they decline because "they don't want to hurt me". So sometimes we can be waiting, trying to get out of the car for 5 to 10 minutes until they recover their energy and try again. But THIS! This really helps! It just gives them that handle to hold on to, to press up their weight on so they can get their legs up and under them. It's really great. Now I will say that it does stick into your "getting up path" a little bit but they've learned to slide a bit toward the front of the car first to avoid hitting their leg on it.It's also great that it has the seat belt cutter, window breaker, whistle and light. A very helpful tool.

My husband is having surgery in a couple of weeks so I decided to get this to help him get in and out of the car more easily.We tried it when it arrived and found it simple to use and the extra bit of support it provides is just what he needs.The extras (light, whistle and window breaking capability) are a bonus.We have put it in the glove box so it is accessible by both the driver and passenger in the event of an emergency.Really handy little tool - sometimes the simplest products are the best.

I ordered this for my father for Christmas, and it works exactly as intended for helping with mobility; very useful for getting in and out of vehicles. The seatbelt cutter has a protective cover, which is a nice touch, and the bright LED flashlight is a great addition. While I hope he never needs the window breaker or cutter, they seem functional. There were two issues with this product: One downside is the whistle... it’s completely useless unless you’re trying to call a dog, as it sounds just like a squeaky toy. The other issue happens to be the cover that doesn't fit or stay on the pointed end of the handle as designed. Otherwise, a solid and helpful tool!~L

Sent as a Christmas gift for my mom who has issues with her knees and has trouble getting up from a sitting position. She said this works great to help her get out of the car.

I liked the idea of a flashlight included, which makes it unique among the car tools currently on the market. However, we did not realize it wasn't just battery-powered, but needs to be removed and recharged with a micro USB cord. One is included but we have two problems: 1) the product was assembled so the micro USB port isn't aligned with the hole, so we can't insert the 6" charge cord, and 2) who's going to remember to regularly bring a once-in-a-lifetime tool in from the car to maintain the charge anyway?We weren't that interested in the assistance handle, but considered it a nice-to-have along with the window breaking and seatbelt cutting functions. However, the seatbelt cutter is hidden at the bottom with a super tight and tiny cover on it. If you have just plunged your car into a freezing Great Lake, there is zero chance anyone, young or old, will have the time or dexterity to find and then remove that tiny cover to cut themselves out. The window breaker looks just like others we've seen, so we'll trust that it works. And that whistle? It sounds like a pet toy, barely loud enough to hear across a room.Overall there are much better and simpler products out there that will be exactly what you need if you find yourself in dire circumstances.

I bought this for my wife who has hip-related mobility issues that make it difficult for her to access our medium SUV. The aid feels very stable when in place, is a comfortable to grip & has made it much easier & less painful for her. The other features - window breaker, seatbelt cutter, torch & whistle - are useful additions, though the torch & whistle seem a bit feebleRecommended for the car assistance function

I review products for the Amazon Vine program and received this product to review.This is advertise as a multi functional item, but I think it works really well and the best as a car cane with a light. It hooks onto the door latch and gives you extra support as you move yourself out of the car. As I'm moving into my senior years, I'm finding it hard and harder some days to get out of a car, especially after a long drive. It will be very useful for this.This item advertises multiple features. Is not very bright, but would be useful for finding something in the car and also would get attention if it was flashing. Although the stainless steel tip is quite sturdy, I'm not sure it would break the car window if I tried to smash it, and I certainly have no way to test that. There are other devices on market that I think are probably better for ensuring that you can break your car window if you need to get out if you're submerged.This also comes with a seatbelt cutter. It was extremely hard to get the red cover off of that and I thought to myself if I was an emergency trying to get this cover off, I would be pretty upset. I had to use a screwdriver to pry it off. Once removed, it's easy to put it back on and easy to remove. Once again, I think it would be really difficult to cut seatbelt with this.The whistle was hysterical and adorable. You can hear it on my video. It is not loud enough to bring attention and sounds more like a bird or animal call whistle. In fact, all four of my cats presented themselves to the room as soon as I tested it. It's the first thing I've ever found that gets their attention! We laughed so hard. It was just so funny. As I am reviewing this and play the video, three cats have landed on my desk due to the whistle. Two of them are meowing. I considered keeping this in the house to call the cats. They are outdoor cats only on the lanai, but it's hard to get them in at night. This would work well!As far as the whistle aspect, I keep an electronic whistle in my purse that it is extremely loud so I have that covered. I'm giving this four stars because it works really well as a car cane. The other devices, other than the light probably not very helpful.The price point is great and I recommend this item. This would be a great gift for anyone in your home that struggling to get in and out of the car

Quick little disclaimer here, I’m not disabled, nor have any mobility issues. I got this for the people I take around that need the extra help. I did most of the testing, however I did grab their opinions on it. With that in mind, I would say it’s a pretty nice little accessory, that many of them might even grab for themselves.Here’s what I like about it:-No assembly required.-Simple to use-Sturdy, and has a great handle.-Nothing digs into your hand when you’re using it-Supports a ton of weight-Comes with a charging cable-Has a lot of extra features, compared to just a standard handle-The flashlight has three modes-It includes covers so you don’t cut yourself (not that it would be easy to), or accidentally really dent the car.So here’s what I don’t like about this car assist handle:-The metal insert doesn’t go all the way, it goes about 80 percent of the way down, to around where the seatbelt cutter is-The battery is kind of small at 130 mAh-I really don’t like that it uses micro usb to chargeI think most of my gripes about this handle are pretty small. The biggest thing might be the metal insert, though I really don’t think it’s a problem. I can put a lot of weight on it, and it doesn’t deform, or change at all. I think the other thing that I don’t like, is that it uses micro usb to charge, rather than USB C. Most people have a USB C or lightning cable in their car now, but I don’t really think that many people have a micro USB.Overall, I think it’s quite useful to have around. Everyone that has used it (or needs to use it) seems to think that it’s handy, and like the extra grip. The only thing that they have said they don’t like, is that they have to remember to remove it before closing the door. At $22 I would say that it’s a good thing to have, and I would definitely recommend it, even if you’re just thinking about getting one.

It’s a reasonably sized perfect tool i got it for my wife’s car because im disabled i broke my back in a single vehicle accident and after rolling my truck i was trapped and i had to literally put my bare fist through the drivers side rear window after crawling into the back seats to attempt freeing myself that has stuck with me not even because of the spinal cord injury or any of the complications of my disability my fear is that if she was to be in a similar situation even if it was significantly less severe than what I survived being that her vehicle is power windows and they’re not reliable in the event of an accident and a good way to be trapped so having the proper tool and a fairly beefy one at that in comparison to most pocket knives with the little spike this has a far better chance of being able to smash the window out with a single blow and far better chance of avoiding serious injuries and cuts add to that the seatbelt cutter and emergency whistle and I would say it’s awesome by far but it’s also got a rechargeable flashlight and it’s also a mobility aid to help me in and out of her car I stand behind it 110% it’s super well made it’s such good value it should be mandatory for all vehicles to have this type of device included from the factory pro tip put it in the centre console if your vehicle has one the passenger side glove box is a long reach when your upside down or on your side trapped in a vehicle and if it’s not in a location that can be closed there’s no telling where it is going to fly after my accident it took multiple people searching for hours through the wreckage to finally locate my cell phone it’s a medical that there was other motorists behind me that witnessed the accident and called 911 the truck was 50 yards past the tree line amd not visible from the road and I was in the highway there is absolutely no way I could have gotten myself help otherwise I freed myself from the vehicle tried to stand up and immediately fell the second time I got up I managed a few trees before I fell again o couldn’t hold myself up and I couldn’t handle the blinding pain thank for for those people who stopped and tried to help but take it from someone who butchered his hand to free himself from a vehicle by punching the window out with his bare hand it takes far more strength than you think and when your in shock and not thinking clearly your not searching for a jacket or anything and if your anything like me you will briefly consider using the shirt your wearing to wrap around your fist to smash the glass that’s all fine and dandy but then you have to crawl out of that hole with glass shards still in the door plus all the broken glass on the ground and not only are you likely still gonna injure your hand but you will likely cut your torso to shreds too so to me it was the lesser of 2 evils now I don’t have to worry about that nor worry about my wife not having the physical strength to smash a window bare handed of that moment ever happened take it from someone who got lucky and who knows this can save your life in more ways than one get it for the young drivers in your life get it for your friends get it for yours this as a gift is the best way to say “I love you so much here’s a tool that I hope you’ll never need but if you do it’ll help you come back home to me” either way best investment one could make plus it would make a pretty good self defence tool ….. I just wish I could rate this higher than 5 stars!!!
