In 2007 the Veterans Affairs Secretary released a press release, titled Veterans Pride Initiative, calling on veterans to begin wearing military medals and ribbons on patriotic holidays and days of remembrance, such as the 4th of July, Veterans and Memorial Day. It was a call to action for veterans to express their pride, remember their service, and to value their medals and ribbons as accomplishments, memories, and sacrifices.

This great ribbon mounting bar is sturdy and well-crafted with stable backings and a thoroughly quality construction. The pins mount it well onto my uniform, while the bars are neither too fat nor too thin, allowing my ribbons to be added with ease with no sliding about or tight fits I need to muscle. Although the bar is silver, the color does not show through between the ribbons; the fit on each row is very tight and of excellent measured quality. The entirity of the rack is very durable and does not bend, even when adding ribbons; more sturdy than cheaper plastic racks. An excellent choice for service members! A+!

It's very nice. Just not what I was expecting. Very small and ment to wear. I thought it was a display for like on top of a cabinet or on a wall. But. I made it work for what I wanted and worked out great.
