A better grip then the ones that usually come with kites, which usually break up soon after the first use.

I bought this and then bought another one more durable. I figure what the heck. I don't want my kite to get away from me. This made it much easier than the original flimsy tight string holder

Little plastic bearings are not as smooth as I hoped. Overall a good product for price

The description said it was easy for kids to use. It is not. It was not even easy for an adult to use. Not a good product. Very disappointed.

This looks like a good product. I'm re-purposing this product to use in another application. Hopefully it will work.

First of all, if you have normal size hands, this thing will be way too small for you. Still workable, but it is really silly.Secondly the carabiner attached to the string end is a point of failure - take it off and throw away. The whole thing is on a flimsy side, however, to my surprise, is holding so far.Using gloves had saved my hands couple of times already

Purchase several kites and these line winders at the same time. Really made our kite flying so much easier. We had gusty winds so it was easy to reel in or let out more string quickly. There is a bit of a learning curve, you have to make sure the line doesn't jump over the side, otherwise you get a big snag. I don't know how you'd fix that other than paying attention to your line when fast reeling. We won't go back to using those cheap, little plastic holders.
