In my mind, this is pretty much the most perfect screw money can buy to join two pieces of wood, in this case 3/8" trim board to a 1" sheet of red oak plywood.I love the flat heads because they will fit flush to the wood surface and on the other end you can attach a 1/4" -20 black stainless nut with a nylon insert for a secure or years finish. It looks great and works even better!These screws from the EASTLO STORE are my favorites and I applaud them with FIVE STARS!

Not much to say about these. It's a bag of 50 screws. The bag comes in a hard-to-open box, but a razor blade fixed that.The screws themselves are standard #8 machine screws, 2 inches long. They are philips head. What matters: Threads are cut well. The under-head angle is accurate to my countersinks. The Phillips drive fits without issue. These appear to be SS and not just plated steel. If the size and price fit your needs, I can recommend them.

Summary: I generally try to keep SAE and metric fasteners for a project consistent. When adding a luggage rack to my Honda motorcycle, I would try to use metric fasteners for consistency. These look like good quality flat head Phillips screws. The black finish seems good and I expect these will not rust.

I recently purchased a desk for my home office -- from Amazon, of course. After I finished assembling it myself, I found that one screw was missing among those provided. It wasn't critical as it just attaches a small handle to one of the desk drawers. Fortunately, the drawer can be used with the single handle I could attach. I contacted the manufacturer requesting another screw. I had not heard from them right away and checked a couple of local hardware stores without success. I took a chance on ordering this set of machine screws from Amazon, though I only need one. It is a tiny bit longer than the screw I needed but it does fit the handle and secures it well. Sometimes almost perfect is good enough.
